MEETINGS

Planning a first meeting at your own pace

From choosing a place to getting home: simple preparation without pressure.

Meeting in person is a new step after chatting online. Messages alone cannot confirm identity, intentions or reliability. Take your time, suggest another format or cancel if you feel uncomfortable.

Choose a simple public place

A busy café or a short activity in public lets you meet without planning a whole day. Choose somewhere you can reach and leave independently. Avoid private homes and isolated places for a first meeting.

A specific invitation helps: “Coffee for an hour on Saturday afternoon?” A suggested duration makes planning easier, but never obliges you to stay. Extend it only if you both want to.

Tell someone you trust

Share the place, time and useful details with someone close before leaving, and arrange when to check in. Keep a charged phone and an independent way home. Do not hand documents or your phone to someone you barely know.

If the location changes at the last minute, you can refuse or postpone. Accepting a first date does not mean accepting a different place, a more intimate activity or a car ride.

Watch for unusual requests

Requests for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, sign-in codes or documents are reasons to stop and verify independently. Pressure, urgency and secrecy call for caution. Do not transfer money to “unlock” a date or help someone you know only online.

A relationship should not depend on payment, visa promises or personal documents. InstaAmor does not organize immigration or marriage procedures.

Respect your feelings and theirs

You can enjoy a meeting without wanting another. Say so simply without detailed justification. Refusal does not invite negotiation or insistence. Consent can change at any time.

If behaviour worries you, end the exchange, move to a busy place and seek nearby help. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services. An app report does not replace urgent help.

After the date

Tell your trusted person you got home. Reflect on how you felt without pressure to message immediately. If you want to continue, suggest something simple. For conduct against the guidelines, keep useful evidence and report it. Do not publish the person's contact details or images.
