A profile and a conversation do not verify identity. Keep control of your information, the pace and your meetings.
Protect your information
- Do not share identity documents, bank details, verification codes or passwords.
- Avoid posting your address, exact schedule or information that locates people close to you.
- Use a unique password and sign out of shared devices.
- Only post photos you are comfortable showing to other members.
Be cautious about requests for money
Requests for transfers, gift cards, investments or urgent payments call for caution. Never send money to someone you know only online. An emotional story or promise of a relationship does not replace independent checks.
Report or block
In the members area, open profile discovery and use Report or Block. Settings also provide safety features. A report records your request but does not guarantee immediate action. Do not continue an uncomfortable exchange while waiting for a response.
Keep useful report information privately. In-app blocking does not block contacts on other services or messages already outside the app.
Plan a meeting
Choose a public place, tell someone close and keep your own way home. You may cancel or leave at any time. Read our first-meeting guide to prepare for this step.
